Samuel Segun

Samuel Segun PhD is a Research Fellow on the AI Ethics Group at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR), University of Pretoria, and a Research Associate at the Stellenbosch University School for Data Science and Computational Thinking. His research focuses on responsible use of AI, technology policy, and data and computational ethics in Africa. Dr Segun is the AI Innovation & Technology Consultant for the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and the INTERPOL Innovation Centre in the development of a Toolkit for Responsible AI Innovation in Law Enforcement. He has also published articles in globally competitive journals such as AI & Society and Ethics and Information Technology on the ethics of artificial intelligence and computational ethics.
